People who are using more than 9 SIM cards are expected verify, otherwise the investigation will take place

If you are using a mobile phone and you have multiple SIM cards, then this news is definitely for you. The government is now preparing to curb those who use more SIM cards.

Those who use more than nine SIM cards will now have to re-verify. If the customer does not re-verify, so their SIM card will be blocked.

An order in this regard has been issued by the Department of Telecommunication of the Central Government. Customers with more than nine SIM cards will have to re-verify for the SIM card.

'If customers do not verify, their SIM cards will now be blocked,' the Department of Telecommunications said. For some states, including Jammu and Kashmir, and Assam, the limit has been fixed at six.

The order issued by the Department of Telecommunications states that customers are given the option to turn on or off the SIM card at their discretion if they find more SIM cards than allowed.

The department also clarified that if any customer finds any SIM card of any telecom company beyond the limit, they will have to re-verify that SIM card.

The department has taken steps in this regard to investigating the incidents of financial fraud, catastrophic calls, fraud. Telecommunications companies have also been instructed to remove from the database all mobile numbers which are not used as per the rules.

The department has directed the companies to send notifications to customers who have more than 9 SIM cards, to stop outgoing calls on such SIM cards within 30 days and incoming calls within 45 days.
