New Delhi [India], February 1 : Telugu Desam Party MPs on Sunday strongly condemned YSR Congress Party leader Ambati Rambabu for allegedly resorting to "filthy, abusive and demeaning language" against Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, claiming that the word "bastard" was used to insult him.

TDP MPs, including Lavu Krishna Devarayalu, K. Appalanaidu, Byreddy Shabari and Rajya Sabha MP Sana Satish condemened the YSRCP leader's remarks.

Addressing a press conference held at AP Bhavan, New Delhi, after the Budget Session of Parliament, the TDP MPs said Ambati Rambabu's remarks represent a shocking new low in Andhra Pradesh politics and amount to a "direct assault" on democratic values, public decency and civilised political discourse.

They demanded that Ambati Rambabu issue an unconditional public apology stating that such gutter-level language from a person who once held a ministerial position is disgraceful, intolerable and condemnable.

TDP MP Lavu Krishna Devarayalu said YSRCP has institutionalised a culture where abuse, slander and moral bankruptcy are rewarded. "This is not political criticism it is verbal vandalism. The people of Andhra Pradesh decisively rejected this toxic culture in the 2024 elections, yet YSRCP leaders have learnt nothing," he said.

TDP MP K. Appalanaidu stated that YSRCP leaders are deliberately creating unrest in the state and disrupting peace and law and order. He said Ambati Rambabu's remarks have brought shame to civil society and reminded that YSRCP leaders have repeatedly crossed all limits, including abusing the family members of CM Naidu in the past.

MP Byreddy Shabari said the loud, abusive conduct of YSRCP leaders has become routine and is deeply embarrassing for society. He criticised Ambati Rambabu for speaking irresponsibly against a senior Chief Minister and said he has failed both as a politician and as a lawyer. "Shouting theatrics and cheap abuse do not make a leader. Politics demands responsibility, dignity and restraint," he said, adding that TDP believes in setting an example for future generations through clean politics.

Rajya Sabha MP Sana Satish highlighted the sharp contrast between TDP's discipline and YSRCP's destructive politics. He recalled that when a TDP worker made an inappropriate remark against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's wife, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu acted immediately. "That reflects our values. YSRCP, meanwhile, is using abusive language is a desperate attempt to divert attention from the Tirumala laddu adulteration issue and as repeatedly attempting to incite divisions among communities and castes," he said.

The TDP MPs asserted that Andhra Pradesh will not tolerate "politics driven by hate, abuse and intimidation." They reaffirmed that Chandrababu Naidu's leadership stands for dignity, development, and democratic values, while YSRCP's repeated verbal attacks only expose its desperation, frustration, and moral collapse.
