"Successful launch of PSLV-C49 by ISRO scientists after Covid lockdown is a demonstration of their dedication to the country's space programme," said Harichandan.

The ISRO launched 10 satellites in space from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, located in southern Andhra Pradesh.

The launch centre is 400 km south of Vijayawada.
