Patna, Dec 8 Around two dozen RJD supporters had a providential escape on Tuesday morning as they rallied on the rail tracks in Nalanda district of Bihar even as party workers disrupted train services in quite a few other districts as well.

A video clip that went viral on social media showed the RJD supporters holding posters and banners in support of 'Bharat Bandh' and trying to stop the oncoming Rajgir-New Delhi Sharmjeevi Express at the Pawapuri railway station.

As the group waved RJD flags, train driver perhaps did not notice them due to fog. RJD supporters ran helter-skelter and saved themselves in the nick of time as the train sped past them.

Rashtriya Janata Dal's Nalanda district leader Ashok Kumar Suman confirmed the incident and accused the railways of "inhuman behaviour".

The RJD supporters later stopped another train at the station.

Supporters of Mahagathbandhan in Bihar disrupted railway operation at several places like Supaul, Saharsa, Katihar, Arrah, Jahanabad, and other districts.

RJD state President Jagdanand Singh said: "The Bharat Bandh in support of the farmers of the country has been a total success."

"We appreciate the support extended by people of Bihar to make the shutdown successful. We got support from other parties, social institutions, private and government employees, labourers and others."
