Panaji, March 4 The AAP government in Delhi led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is responsible for the delay in the hanging of the four convicts in the Nirbhaya rape-murder case, BJP Mahila Morcha president Vijaya Rahatkar alleged on Wednesday.

She said that because of the delay in hanging the four convicts, the justice system in the country was being made fun of.

"I would say that it is a sin of the Kejriwal government, because of the changes their government made in the jail manual. The changes now warrant that mercy petitions should not be bunched together, but be heard individually. Because of this the killers of Nirbhaya are not being hung yet," Rahatkar said.

"In a way our justice system and the police mechanism are being made fun of by the accused, because they are finding ways to delay their hanging due to loopholes created by the changes in the jail manual. This is wrong and should not happen," she said.
