New Delhi, July 15 BJP president J.P. Nadda and general secretary Ram Madhav condoled the death of Jagdeo Ram Oraon, the National President of RSS' key affiliate Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram. Oraon breathed his last while being treated at the district hospital in Jashpur, Chhattisgarh.

Nadda said he is 'pained' at the news adding, "he devoted his entire life for the upliftment of the lives of the resident brothers and sisters."

Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram works towards bringing the forest dwellers to the mainstream of development. The pan India organization works among remote tribal villagers.

Ram Madhav said the former VKA president developed complications post-lunch following which he died.

B.L. Santhosh, the general secretary (organisation) called Oraon the "tallest tribal leader of our times".

"His life was a mission & he was a role model for all social workers," he added.
