New Delhi, April 5 Congress leader Jaiveer Shergill has posted of a video of him lighting lamps as the Prime Minister appealed to all to show unity and solidarity but while lighting the each lamp he gave different reasons.

He said that the first lamp is for the morale of the country second for the departed soul of the people who lost their lives due to coronavirus.

The third for more and free testing ,PPE kits, more quarantine beds ,relief to farmers and labourers.

Rahul Gandhi had also tweeted "We should pay respect to the people who are fighting Covid-19."

While the opposition did not oppose the move but raised questions.

Prime Minister made a request to the people of the country to light a lamp or a torch at 9:00 PM for 9 minutes. Just like the lockdown alone cannot succeed in containing coronavirus, lockdown has to be backed by massive testing and a massive economic package; similarly there is no harm in lighting a torch or a lamp or Diya whatever the people want to do, said the Congress.
