Chandigarh, Jan 1 Extending greetings on New Year, the Himachal Pradesh Governor and the Chief Minister on Friday hoped this year would bring happiness and prosperity in the lives of the people.

In a message, Governor Bandaru Dattatraya wished that the state would witness more progress in all spheres.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur expressed hope the state would make rapid strides in all spheres of development and would achieve new heights in this year.
