Chennai, Dec 15 MDMK General Secretary Vaiko on Tuesday condemned the arrest of 20 Indian fishermen by the Sri Lankan Navy.

In a statement issued here Vaiko said 20 Indian fishermen were arrested and their boats confiscated by Sri Lankan Navy on Sunday.

He said the fishermen from Rameswaram had gone fishing in five boats.

"The Sri Lankan government's action is condemnable and the Indian and the Tamil Nadu governments should take action to get the fishermen and their boats released," Vaiko said.
