On Friday, he joined a tribute gathering for "Shankaracharya" - Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati, who breathed last at his Ashram in Madhya Pradesh's Narsinghpur district on September 11. Hundreds of seers from different religious places came to attend "tribute sabha".

On his was on his way to Narsinghpur, he interacted with reporters and responded to queries about Congress' party presidential elections and contestants in the race for the highest post in the party.

Meanwhile, Digvijaya Singh claimed that RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's visit to a madrasa in Delhi was the result of "Bharat Jodo Yatra".

He also thanked Bhagwat for his visit to the madrasa and for meeting a Muslim religious leader.

"It's not been two weeks that Bharat Jodo Yatra has been started by the Congress, and the results started coming.... RSS chief started visiting madrasa. I think he may have got this inspiration from the Bharat Jodo Yatra. I express my gratitude to Mohan Bhagwat for his visit to the madrasa."
