Vijayan hopeful about opening of Kerala-Karnataka border

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said here on Tuesday despite talks with Union Ministers about opening the border with Karnataka, it had not happened.

Thiruvananthapuram, March 31 Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said here on Tuesday despite talks with Union Ministers about opening the border with Karnataka, it had not happened.

Stating that he had talks with Amit Shah and Sadananda Gowda, the Chief Minister said, they talked nicely. "I am optimistic. They have not come back to me. Maybe they are working on it," said Vijayan.

For the past three days, Vijayan has been pressing for opening of borders at Kasargode and Coorg for goods traffic.
