Lucknow, Nov 26 Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will campaign in Hyderabad on November 28 for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections to 150 wards across 24 Assembly seats.

The BJP is trying to make inroads and Yogi Adityanath is likely to launch his campaign from the Golconda area of the Old City.

Though corporation elections are usually a local affair, the BJP is pulling out all stops to win the polls by bringing in its star campaigners, including union Ministers Amit Shah, Smriti Irani and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Yogi Adityanath has emerged as one of the party's biggest crowd pullers in recent times and is much sought after in election campaigns, Bihar being the most recent example.

An official in the Chief Minister's office confirmed that, "The Chief Minister will be participating in a road show on November 28. He will be campaigning for a day."

The GHMC polls, scheduled for December 1, have turned into a prestige battle for the BJP and this is clear from its star-studded list of campaignerssomething rare for a municipal election.
