In order to improve the road conditions in Bhor taluka in Maharashtra MP Supriya Sule started a hunger strike at the District Collector's Office, Pune. She stated that the condition of the road leading from Baneshwar Phata to Vanavibhag Kaman, a holy temple in Shri Kshetra Baneshwar (Nasarapur) in Bhor taluka in Maharashtra, has become very pitiful. Despite repeated follow-ups to concretize this road, the government and the administration have neglected it. Sule had said that the hunger strike will continue until the date of the road work is announced. After protest the authorities has agreed to start their work by may 2. After that, Supriya Sule expressed the opinion that if the government does the work in Bhor, there will be no need to protest.

Speaking at the Brahman Ghar Road foundation ceremony and the Narhe temple inspection, Sule stated she had warned the government about a potential hunger strike regarding the road work. Despite the warning, inaction forced her to protest in front of the District Collector's Office. She emphasized that government action would eliminate the need for protests.

I have also spoken to Bhise, the head of PMRDA. I have spoken to the duty collector; I told him, there is a 600-meter road. Now no one should have to go on a hunger strike there again. My sister should not come, and no other citizens should come. Now that road must be built. The system has been put in place for that work and funds will not be allowed to run short," Ajit Pawar informed
