In a recent incident in Kudalwadi, Chikhali near Pune a Bangladeshi woman and her husband have been arrested for violating visa regulations. Mohammad Rana Mohammad Salam Sheikh (33), a resident of Talwade, originally from Uttar Pradesh, married the woman, who had entered India on a tourist visa.

The woman’s visa expired on April 7, 2022, and she was supposed to return to Bangladesh. However, Sheikh kept her in India, providing her shelter at his home. They have a one-year-old child together.

The situation came to light when local authorities received information about the violation. The Chikhali police acted swiftly and arrested both Sheikh and his wife, who is a Bangladeshi national, for sheltering the woman illegally. The couple is now facing legal consequences for this violation.
