Pune, Maharashtra (March 18, 2025):  A 19-year-old man was arrested in Wanowrie for allegedly threatening a woman to release edited nude photos of her on Instagram unless she paid him ₹2,000.

The accused, Raghuvar Balram Chaudhary, originally from Bihar and residing in Hadapsar, created a fake Instagram account using the victim’s name. He edited her photos to make them appear nude and uploaded them on the platform. Chaudhary then demanded ₹2,000 from the woman, threatening to make the photos viral if she failed to pay.

The victim filed a complaint with the police after receiving the threats. The Wanowrie Police Cyber Team, led by Police Constables Amol Pilane and Atul Gaikwad under Crime Inspector Govind Jadhav’s guidance, arrested Chaudhary after conducting an investigation.

The case is under further investigation.
