Pune: A case has been registered against the four minor individuals and have taken one of the minors into custody for allegedly vandalizing 8 to 9 vehicles in the Fursungi area. This incident occurred on Tuesday, March 31 night, and accused were reportedly intoxicated.
According to reports, 25-year-old man filed complaint regarding this incident. Initial investigation indicates minors vandalized the vehicles which were parked along the roadside—with the specific intent of creating terror in the locality. The incident took place around 9:45 PM on Tuesday in the vicinity of the Kranti Mitra Mandal Ganesh Temple and Sanjuda Complex in Papade Vasti.
Brandishing weapons while under the influence of alcohol, the youths created an atmosphere of panic in the area. They caused damage to a total of nine vehicles comprising three auto-rickshaws, two tempos, and four four-wheelers by smashing their windshields and bodywork.

This sudden and unprovoked attack triggered panic throughout the neighborhood. Upon receiving information about the incident, a team led by Senior Inspector Amol More of the Fursungi Police Station rushed to the scene. Police have filed charges against the youths under the Arms Act and other relevant laws. One minor has been apprehended out of the four individuals who fled the scene. Sub-Inspector Vinod Pawar is leading the ongoing investigation.
