Pune Crime: Masked Men Attack Homes With Koyta in Yerawada, CCTV Footage Surfaces (Watch Video)

Pune, Maharashtra (April 2, 20250: Residents of Kamarajnagar in Yerawada are in shock after unidentified men attacked multiple houses with a koyta during the early hours of Tuesday. The assailants attempted to break into homes, creating panic in the area. CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced and is being widely shared on social media. The footage shows a masked individual striking house doors with a koyta. Police have begun an investigation and suspect the attack was an attempt at burglary. The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of Yerawada Police Station. Authorities are making efforts to track down the suspects. A search is underway to locate those responsible.

Pune has witnessed a rise in koyta attacks in recent days. Police have urged residents to stay alert. Night patrols will be increased to prevent further incidents.

In an earlier case, a koyta gang stormed a residential society in the Dattanagar area of Katraj. The attack was linked to a dispute over a tea bill. Aditya Ranjane, who runs a tea stall at Trimurti Chowk near Bharati Vidyapeeth, got into an argument over payment at 6 a.m. The situation escalated when Dayaram Sutar, a resident of Dattanagar, intervened to stop the fight. The men involved left the area but returned later, armed with koytas.

Security footage shows the gang entering Sutar’s society and searching for him. When they learned he was not home, they left. The video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.
