A fire broke out in a residential building in the Kothrud area of Pune in the early hours of Friday, January 27. According to news agency PTI, the blaze erupted around 3 am, reportedly due to a short circuit in an air conditioner.

The fire broke out in a house in Ideal Colony. No injuries were reported in the incident. Fire brigade teams rushed to the spot and managed to bring the situation under control in time, preventing a major disaster.

Fortunately, there were no casualties. While initial suspicion points to a short circuit, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed. Authorities are expected to carry out a detailed investigation.
