A fire broke out at scrap godown in Pimpri Chinchwad area around 12:30 pm on Friday in Moi region near Chikali near Pune. According to the local authorities five to six fire engines from the Maharashtra Industrial development co-operation (MIDC) and Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) where rushed at the site. 

The cause of the well is not known, but due to the blaze thick smoke has spread in surrounding area. In separate incident A 24-year-old staffer was killed in a fire caused by a leaking gas cylinder at an eatery in Dhankawadi on Sunday. The blaze damaged the eatery and two adjoining shops in the KK Market area. According to he reports, the fire started at Saiba Tea Shop around 4 p.m. when a staffer placed a pot of milk for boiling. Gas leaking from a nearby cylinder caught fire, causing the flames to spread rapidly. While others managed to escape, one staffer remained trapped inside.
