Pune, Maharashtra (March 28, 2025): A disturbing incident has come to light in Pune’s Warje area, where a 10-year-old girl was kidnapped and raped after being threatened by her neighbor. The accused allegedly told her, “Marry me, or I will kill you.” The crime has sparked outrage in the locality. According to police reports, the incident took place at a lodge in Uttam Nagar on March 21 around 12:30 p.m.

The victim was on her way to a shop when the accused, identified as Rahul Gautam, along with his accomplice Avinash Dompalle, forcibly took her on a two-wheeler and kidnapped her. They took her to Peacock Lodge in Uttam Nagar, where Rahul Gautam threatened to kill her if she refused to marry him and then sexually assaulted her.
Following the victim’s complaint, police have registered a case against Rahul Gautam, Avinash Ashok Dompalle, lodge owner Bhagwan Datta More, and lodge manager Tikaram Chapaghai. The investigation is ongoing.
