A leopard attack on three motorcycles in Khadakwadi, Ambegaon taluka, left a 17-year-old girl injured on Wednesday night. The incident took place around 7:45 p.m. near the Khadakwadi crematorium when the leopard, accompanied by two cubs, ambushed the riders.

Sachin Mali and Dinesh Balasaheb Ranpise, the first two motorcyclists, managed to escape. However, the leopard pounced on the third motorcycle, carrying siblings Omkar Machhindra Doke and Shreya Machhindra Doke. Shreya, who was seated at the back, suffered bite wounds on her left leg before Omkar sped away, narrowly avoiding further injury.

She was taken to a hospital in Loni for first aid and later shifted to Manchar Subdistrict Hospital for further treatment. Forest officials, including Forester Sonal Bhalerao and the Leopard Rapid Action Force, arrived at the scene following the attack.
