Pune: A shocking incident of crime has came to light in which a mother and her lover brutally murdered her own six-year-old child, whom they perceived as an obstacle to their romantic relationship. The mother and her lover's conspiracy to kill the innocent boy has sparked outrage in Kuruli, Khed taluka. The incident occurred around 11:30 PM on Saturday, April 4.
The deceased child has been identified as Avez Mehboob Shaikh, aged 6. In connection with this case, his mother, Basrin Mehboob Shaikh (aged 27), has been arrested, while police teams have been dispatched to search for her lover, Ram Vinayak Kajewad, who is currently absconding. A formal complaint regarding this matter was lodged with the South Mahalunge Police by Isaak Mahamad Shaikh.
According to information provided by the police, Isaak Shaikh's grandson, Avez, was residing with his mother in a rented room in Kuruli (Khed Taluka). Deeming the child an impediment to the romantic relationship between the mother and her lover, the two conspired to take young Avez into the bathroom. There, they murdered him by forcibly holding his head submerged in a bucket of water and repeatedly smashing his head against the walls and the floor.
After committing the murder, the accused transported the body in an Ertiga car to Dharmapuri. Upon arrival, they staged a cover-up, claiming that the child had died of a heart attack. However, harboring suspicions, Isaak Shaikh alerted the Parli Rural Police. Basrin Shaikh confessed to the crime during police interrogation and has been arrested after the case was transferred to the South Mahalunge police. Police are searching for her absconding lover, Ram Kajewad.
