Counting at the centre was briefly halted for nearly two hours following objections raised over electronic voting machines (EVMs). NCP leader Rupali Patil Thombre, from the Ajit Pawar faction, who contested from the ward, alleged that some EVMs had been replaced.
Officials restrained her, and tensions rose briefly before the counting resumed. After the process resumed, results were declared, confirming BJP’s dominance in the ward.
