A violent altercation broke out on a busy road in Pune’s Kondhwa area after a parking dispute escalated into a knife fight, police said. Both individuals involved attacked each other with sharp weapons and were later arrested. The incident was captured on video, which has since gone viral on social media.
The suspects have been identified as Ganesh Subhash Rakh Pasare and Afak Ashfaq Shaikh. According to police, Shaikh is a repeat offender with a prior case under Section 307 registered at Kondhwa police station.
The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. near Sana Hospital in Kausar Baug, Kondhwa. Police said Pasare, 32, parked his car on the road, which led to an argument with Shaikh, 30. The confrontation turned violent, and both men used sharp weapons, injuring each other.
Police registered cases against both individuals. The injured were treated at Sassoon Hospital before being taken into custody.
