In a major development in the high-profile Pune Porsche accident case, it has been revealed that police officers and doctors were involved in tampering with evidence to protect the accused. The Pune Police have now taken strict action against those responsible, including seeking the cancellation of medical licenses and recommending the dismissal of police officers.

Investigations have confirmed that Dr. Ajay Taware and Dr. Srihari Halnor of Sassoon Hospital swapped the blood sample of the minor accused with that of his mother to manipulate the alcohol test results. This evidence tampering was aimed at shielding the minor, who was allegedly driving the Porsche under the influence.

Both doctors have been in jail for the past ten months following their arrest. In response, the Pune Police have submitted a demand letter to the Maharashtra Medical Council, requesting the cancellation of their medical licenses for their role in the cover-up.

Police Officers Likely to Be Dismissed

Apart from the doctors, two police officers Police Inspector Rahul Jagdale and Assistant Inspector Vishwas Todkari have also been found guilty of misconduct in handling the case. Both officers, who were previously suspended for dereliction of duty, are now likely to be dismissed from service.
