Pune, Maharashtra (March 24, 2025): A shocking incident occurred in Pune’s Kothrud area on Saturday, March 22, when a man was caught filming people urinating in a public restroom during a dance festival at a local lawn. The accused, identified as Mangesh Nandakumar Javahire, was arrested after being confronted by attendees and handed over to the police.

According to police, the incident took place around 7 p.m. at a venue on DP Road. Hundreds of people had gathered for the event when some attendees noticed Javahire recording videos inside the restroom. Initially, there was confusion, with many believing he had filmed women. This led to chaos at the venue.

As Javahire attempted to flee, workers at the event caught him and beat him before alerting the police. Officers from Alankar Police Station took him into custody and examined his mobile phone. Upon investigation, it was revealed that he had recorded videos of men urinating in the restroom, not women, as initially suspected.

A 48-year-old man filed the complaint, after which police registered the case late at night. Javahire is now in police custody, and further investigation is underway.
