Pune: In an unexpected turn of events, a man angry with his wife for leaving the house and staying at her maternal home, sets her scooter on fire. According to police reports indicate that Shweta Katkar and Rajkumar Sutar, a married couple separated for the past year and a half after Shweta returned to her parents' home following a marital dispute.

Rajkumar Iranna Sutar, 27, was arrested by Warje Malwadi police for setting his wife's two-wheeler on fire. Shweta Vijay Katkar, 27, reported that Sutar, enraged by her refusal to return home after she left him shortly after their marriage, poured petrol on her scooter and ignited it within their residential society at 1:17 AM on Sunday. Sutar resides in Samarthnagar, Sinhagad Road, while Katkar lives in Sadguru Galaxy Apartment, Shivane.

Rajkumar went to Shweta's residence to ask her to return, but she refused. In response, Rajkumar set fire to her scooter, completely destroying it. Rajkumar Sutar has been arrested, and Sub-Inspector Sunil Jagdale is investigating the case.
