A shocking incident has come to light from the Narhe area of Pune where a woman allegedly stabbed her drunken husband to death. This incident took place on Sunday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Kirpa Bipt (age 42, native of Nepal) while the Sinhagad road police arrested the accused wife Hira Bipta (age 46) on September 08.
According to the information given by the police, the couple used to work as security guards and caretakers at the Swapnapurti Residency at Manaji Nagar in Narhe. The deceased Kirpa was an alcohol addict and often used to harass and beat his wife. On Sunday, he had an argument with his wife under the influence of alcohol. The verbal spat escalated into a heated dispute and the wife in a fit of rage stabbed Kirpa in the stomach seriously injuring him. Kirpa lay unconscious in a pool of blood and was rushed to the hospital by the neighbour and the police where he was declared dead by the doctors.
Meanwhile, on getting the information about this incident, Senior Police Inspector of Sinhagad Police Station Raghavendra Kshirsagar visited the spot and initiated the investigation. The accused Hira was arrested late at night on Sunday by the police. A murder case has been registered at the Sinhagad Road Police Station and further probe is underway.
