A tragic incident took place in the Pune's Dobarwadi area of Ghorpadi, where a young man in depression died by suicide due to constant harassment by two illegal moneylenders. Following the incident, the Vanawadi police registered a case against the two accused for abetment of suicide.
The deceased has been identified as Sachin Kattimani (resident of Dobarwadi, Ghorpadi). His mother, Yelakka Hanumanta Kattimani (61), filed a complaint against the accused, identified as Steven Negal and Vijay Ingle.
According to reports, Sachin had borrowed money from Steven and Vijay on interest. However, the accused allegedly started harassing him for repayment, repeatedly calling and threatening him on his mobile phone. This constant pressure pushed Sachin into depression.

On March 1, unable to cope with the mental distress, Sachin died by suicide by hanging himself inside his home. Upon receiving information, Police Sub-Inspector Nandkumar Jadhav arrived at the scene, and Sachin’s mother later filed a complaint. During the investigation, it was confirmed that the harassment by the accused led to Sachin’s death. Following this, the police registered a case against Steven Negal and Vijay Ingle.
