A joint operation by the Revenue Department and Police Administration took place in the Ujani Dam watershed area, from Kandalgav to Karmala Taluka. Six boats engaged in illegal sand mining were seized, submerged, and destroyed, inflicting a ₹50 lakh loss on the sand mafia.

The operation, led by Tehsildar Jeevan Bansode and Police Inspector Suryakant Kokane, occurred today between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM. Other participants included Resident Deputy Tehsildar Avinash Doiphode, Indapur Taluka Officer Shyam Zhodge, Malwadi Taluka Officer Audumbar Shinde, Village Revenue Officer Ashok Pol, and staff members Vaibhav Mule, Bhaskar Gholve, Manisha Pol, Rajshree Dhame, Vrushali Karande, along with police personnel Lakshman Suryavanshi and Dattu Jadhav.
