Maharashtra: A tragic accident occurred on Pune-Solapur National Highway when an Eco four-wheeler hit a tempo parked on the side of the road to remove a puncture on the Pune lane. This incident happened on Thursday February 26, 2026 evening at Dalj No. 2 In this incident Two women and a child died on the spot and three others were injured. The accident occurred when a Maruti Suzuki Eco, coming from behind, hit an Eicher Tempo.
The Tempo was parked in a dangerous position on the side of the highway due to a flat tire. Deceased identified as, Aditi Amar Hatekar and her 2-year old son Jay Amar Hatekar and Sakhubai Ishwar Gagege died on the spot. Meanwhile, the driver of the Eco vehicle, Kabirdas Ishwar Gagege was seriously injured. His wife Swati Kabirdas Gagege and daughter Samrudhi Kabirdas Gagege (aged 10) suffered minor injuries and a case has been registered, informed Assistant Police Inspector of Bhigwan Police Station Vinod Mahangade.
