Pune, Maharashtra (April 21, 2025): A 28-year-old woman died after falling from a height while attempting a ziplining activity at a water park in the Bhor area of Pune district. The woman was identified as Taral Arun Atapalkar, a resident of the Narhe area in Pune. According to police, the incident occurred on Friday evening around 5.30 pm when Taral visited Rajgad Water Park located near Varve Khurd village along the Pune-Satara highway with her family. While the family enjoyed various rides at the park, Taral chose to try ziplining.

While walking along the rope for the activity, Taral tried to secure her safety harness to the upper rail. As she could not reach it, she stood on an iron stool to fix the rope. The stool reportedly slipped and she fell from a height of around 30 feet to the ground.

She was rushed immediately to a private hospital in Nasrapur where doctors declared her dead. The Rajgad police have registered a case of accidental death and started an investigation. Locals and visitors expressed shock and sorrow, especially as the tragedy occurred in front of her family members.
