Two men have been booked for allegedly harassing women and abusing a female bouncer at a pub in Pune’s Yerwada area. The accused have been identified as Ganesh Dadabhau Ghavate, 34, a resident of Annapur in Shirur taluka, and Yash Kotwal, a resident of Koregaon Bhima in Shirur taluka.

The incident occurred on Saturday night when a group of youngsters was dancing at the pub. According to police, Ghavate and Kotwal were dancing on the floor when they accidentally bumped into a woman. Noticing that their movements were disturbing others, the female bouncer intervened and asked them to dance aside.

Instead of complying, the duo argued with the bouncer, verbally abused her, and allegedly misbehaved with her. The 32-year-old female bouncer later filed a complaint at the Yerwada police station.

Following the complaint, police booked the two men and issued them a preventive action notice. Assistant Police Inspector Vishal Takle is investigating the case.
