Pune: The water supply to be disrupted for the electrical maintenance and repair work scheduled to be carried out at the Parvati, Vadgaon, Lashkar, SNDT, Warje, and Holkar pumping stations, all of which fall under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation's Parvati Water Treatment Plant. Due to this work, the water supply for the entire city will remain suspended on Thursday April 16. On Friday morning, the water supply is expected to resume late and at reduced pressure.
Nandkishore Jagtap, Chief Engineer of the Pune Municipal Corporation's Water Supply Department, provided this information. The areas affected by this water supply shutdown include all the traditional 'Peths' (localities) within the city under the Parvati Water Treatment Plant's jurisdiction, as well as the Dattawadi area, Rajendranagar, Lokmanya Nagar, Deccan area, Shivajinagar, Swargate, Parvati Darshan, Mukundnagar, Parvatigaon, Sahakarnagar, Satara Road, Padmavati, Bibwewadi, Taljai, Katraj, Dhankawadi, Indiranagar, the stretch from Karve Road to SNDT, Erandwane, the entirety of Kothrud, Dahanukar Colony, Karvenagar, Law College Road, the Seminary Zone, Mithanagar, Shivnerinagar, Bhagyodaynagar, Dnyaneshwar Nagar, Saibaba Nagar, Survey Numbers 42 and 46 in Kondhwa Khurd, the Parvati Tanker Filling Center, and the Padmavati Tanker Filling Center.
Additionally, in the vicinity of the Vadgaon Water Treatment Plant, the water supply will be suspended in areas including Hingne, Anandnagar, Vadgaon, Dhayari, Ambegaon Pathar, Dattanagar, Dhankawadi, Katraj, Bharati Vidyapeeth, and Kondhwa Budruk. Water supply will remain suspended in the following areas: Pashan, Aundh, Bopodi, Khadki, Chaturshrungi, Gokhale Nagar, Janwadi, Range Hills, Bavdhan, Baner, Chandani Chowk, Kishkindha Nagar, Rambaug Colony, Left and Right Bhusari Colonies, Dhananjay Society, Eklavya Colony, Mahatma Society, Guru Ganesha Nagar, Pune University, Warje Highway, Warje Malwadi, Ramnagar, Ahiregaon, Popular Nagar, Atul Nagar, Shahu Colony, and the Warje Water Treatment Plant premises (falling under the jurisdiction of the Chaturshrungi, SNDT, and Warje Water Centers).
Additionally, supply will be cut off in Vidya Nagar, Tingre Nagar, Kalas, Dhanori, Lohegaon, Vishrantwadi, Viman Nagar, and Nagar Road (areas served by the new Holkar Pumping Station); as well as in the Lashkar area, Pune Station, Mula Road, Koregaon Park, Tadiwala Road, Race Course, Wanwadi, Kondhwa, Hadapsar, Mohammadwadi, Kalepadal, Mundhwa, Yerwada, Kalyani Nagar, Maharashtra Housing Board Colony, Wadgaon Sheri, Chandan Nagar, Kharadi, Solapur Road, Gondhale Nagar, and Satavwadi (areas falling under the jurisdiction of the Lashkar Water Center).
