Heatwave in Pune city is getting intense day by day, residents are frustrated by unbearable winds and scorching heat for third consecutive day. The temperature is expected to be around 23 degree Celsius, with the maximum soaring to 40 degree to 42 degrees Celsius. Following the early summer season, people have to go out of their homes wearing hats, scarves and goggles.

On Wednesday, the temperature in Lohegaon was recorded at 42.2 degrees Celsius and in Shivajinagar at 40.7 degrees Celsius. The intensity of the heat is likely to continue for the next two days, so the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has advised citizens to avoid walking in the sun in the afternoon. The city had recorded the highest temperature of the season at 41.3 degrees Celsius on Monday. Citizens are shocked by the increase in the heat at night. The intensity of the heat was the same as on Tuesday and continued on Wednesday. The heat wave was felt after noon.

Due to the loss of water in the body, there is a possibility of problems like dehydration, heat stroke, sweating and dizziness. If you experience fever, lack of sweating, vomiting, dizziness, or fatigue, seek immediate medical attention. Also, drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day. Use a hat, umbrella, and sunscreen when going out in the sun. Drink homemade drinks like lemonade, coconut water, and buttermilk. Take special care of your sleep.
