A brutal family dispute in Manchar has resulted in tragedy. A mother attempted to strangle her thirteen-year-old daughter before jumping into a well with her six-year-old son. The son died, while the mother survived. The daughter is seriously injured and receiving treatment. According to the information received, the deceased boy has been identified as Nihant Ashish Bankhele , while the injured daughter, Parijna Ashish Bankhele, is receiving medical care at a hospital. In connection with this case, a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against Harshada Ashish Bankhele  at the Manchar Police Station.

Preliminary police inquiries indicate that the couple had been embroiled in continuous disputes over the past few months. Consequently, they were living apart; the husband was residing with his parents, while Harshada Bankhele was living with her two children in the Lalbaug Prestige area. Meanwhile, around 8:30 AM on Friday, Harshada attempted to strangle her daughter, Parijna, inside their home using a wire.

During this assault, she also physically beat the girl. Believing that her daughter had died after falling unconscious from the strangulation, Harshada locked the house from the outside. She then took her six-year-old son, Nihant, and jumped into a well located near the Tapneshwar Temple. Nihant drowned in the water during this incident; however, Harshada survived after managing to hold onto a pipe inside the well.

A religious ritual at the Tapneshwar crematorium, a passerby heard a woman crying for help from a well. Locals rescued two people from the well and rushed them to Manchar Sub-District Hospital. Nihant was declared dead, while Parijnya, found injured at home after the house was unlocked, is receiving treatment. Based on a complaint by Ashish Laxman Bankhele, police have filed a case against Harshada Bankhele, and Sub-Inspector Yadav is investigating
