Pune, Maharashtra (Monday, April 13, 2026): A 33-year-old employee has filed a police complaint in Pune alleging sexual harassment, intimidation and retaliation against senior officials of Anand Rathi Wealth. Based on the complaint lodged at Shivajinagar Police Station, those named in the FIR include CEO Rakesh Rawal, executive director Swapna Chakravarty, co-CEO Feroze Azeez, HR head Tejal Shah and executive director Sonali Rawal.
According to police, the complainant alleged that a senior executive engaged in inappropriate behaviour, including harassment and stalking. She further claimed that despite informing other senior officials within the company, no action was taken. The woman also alleged that she faced threats of termination if she continued to raise the issue. She said she escalated the matter to senior management, but instead of corrective action, she was transferred to the company’s Dubai office in what she described as a retaliatory move.
No arrests have been made in the case so far. Police Sub-Inspector Jadhav is conducting further investigation.
Company response
In response, HR head Tejal Shah said the employee was advised at an early stage to file a complaint through the internal complaints committee under the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) framework.
However, according to the company, the employee did not pursue the internal mechanism and instead approached Mumbai Police. After inquiry, Mumbai Police closed the matter on March 24.
The employee also approached a local committee in Pune, where she was again advised to file a complaint through the company’s internal committee. The company stated that she did not follow this route and later moved the industrial court, where the matter is currently pending.
