The state board has made several efforts to ensure that the Class 10 and 12 examinations in Maharashtra are conducted in a cheating-free and stress-free environment. However, despite these measures, several irregularities have come to light. While the alleged paper leak in Nagpur has already made headlines across the state, a similar incident has now been reported from Pune.
In Pune, the alleged leak of the Class 10 Mathematics question paper has created a stir. In this case, the Pune Divisional Board has filed a complaint with the police, and an investigation is currently underway.
According to available information, a serious breach has been reported in the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) Class 10 examination. It has been alleged that the Mathematics Part 1 and Part 2 question papers were circulated on a Telegram group even before the exam.
The Mathematics Part 2 paper was reportedly posted in the group three days before the examination. When the board verified the circulated papers with the official question papers, it found that both matched exactly.

Following the discovery, the Pune Divisional Board filed a complaint at Shivajinagar Police Station, and a case has been registered against the Telegram group’s administrator and members. Since the incident occurred in Pune, often regarded as an educational hub, it has caused concern within the education sector.
Police have launched a technical investigation into the matter. Authorities are now trying to determine how the question paper was leaked before the exam and who was responsible for circulating it. Identifying the main mastermind behind the leak is expected to be a key challenge for investigators.
