The ongoing case related to death of pregnant woman in Pune after Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital refused to give treatment due to lack of money has created chaos in state. Tanisha Bhise 27-year-old woman died on March 29 after her family alleged that the hospital refused treatment due to non-payment. On Tuesday NCP(SP) leader Supriya Sule commented on ongoing situation and said that this is upsetting that hospital is keeping money over someone's life. She added that Pune Municipal Corporation plays a band right in front of the house even if the income tax of 10-20 thousand rupees is due from the common citizen, then why did the band not play even if the income tax of 27 crores of Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital was due? How can the common citizen be treated differently and the hospital be treated differently? She warned that if they didn't pay income tax within 48 hours then we will protest.

Talking to protesters, MP Supriya Sule said, "It is now clear that the pregnant woman was kept in the hospital for five and a half hours and Rs 10 lakh was demanded. Strict action must be taken against everyone responsible for the woman's death. Renowned doctors have emerged from many good medical colleges like KEM in Mumbai, B. J. Medical College in Sion, Pune. No more spending on hospitals under the jurisdiction of the state government and the Municipal Corporation. Action must be taken against those involved in corruption in the public health department. Sule went to Tanisha Bhise's house and met her husband and family and interacted with them.

What are you waiting for, take action against the hospital

A pregnant woman lost her life due to the irresponsibility of Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital. This is a very unfortunate and disturbing incident. The hospital's mistake is visible in this. In this, a woman named Tanishka Bhise was murdered, and action should be taken against the hospital. What is the government waiting for? Will they now sit and take the reports of ten committees, MP Supriya Sule asked.

Supriya Sule, voiced her concerns during the Budget Session in Parliament, highlighting the urgent need for government intervention. “US tariffs are impacting our markets — and will continue to. I raised this in Parliament during the Budget Session. The Govt must act now to safeguard investors & the honest, tax-paying middle class. Don’t let them bear the burden,” she stated emphatically. Meanwhile, speculations are rife that India does not plan to retaliate against US President Donald Trump's 26 per cent tariff on imports from the Asian nation, an Indian government official said, citing ongoing talks for a deal between the countries.
