The Indian Medical Association's (IMA) Maharashtra branch has extended strong support to Dr Sushrut Ghaisas, who is facing allegations in the death of a pregnant woman at Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital. The Maharashtra Medical Council has issued a notice for an inquiry into the case. IMA has expressed confidence that Dr. Ghaisas will be cleared of any wrongdoing in the investigation.

The Maharashtra Medical Council has issued a notice for an inquiry. The IMA expressed confidence that Dr Ghaisas will be proven innocent during the proceedings. The IMA stated that although the final decision will be based on the official government report, blaming Dr Ghaisas without any wrongdoing is unfair. They said he fulfilled his medical duties with responsibility and is now facing injustice.

Further information reveals that Dr. Ghaisas has been provided with police protection by Pune police. A police officer has been assigned to ensure he does not flee the city, and special precautions are being taken. The investigation is ongoing, and a detailed report on the case is expected in the coming days.

Meanwhile, MLC Amit Gorakhe has reacted strongly against IMA for supporting Dr Ghaisas. He expressed disappointment with their stance and warned that the IMA could also face public outrage just like Dr Ghaisas is facing.

Tanisha Bhise was allegedly denied admission to Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital due to non-payment of a Rs 10 lakh advance. She was rushed to the hospital after experiencing labor pains. Her family claimes that the hospital demanded Rs 10 lakh before beginning treatment. The total estimated cost was reportedly Rs 20 lakh. Her family initially offered Rs 3 lakh upfront and assured the hospital they would arrange the rest. Despite this, hospital staff allegedly refused to admit her and suggested transferring her to Sassoon Hospital if they could not afford the charges.

On March 29, Tanisha Bhise died due to lack of treatment.

Her family claims the delay cost her life. Bhise was the wife of Sushant Bhise, personal assistant to BJP MLC Amit Gorakhe.
