Women’s Day 2025 Special: Free Travel on PMPML Buses on 13 Routes in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad; Details Inside

Women in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad will be able to travel for free on Tejaswini buses, which are specially launched for female passengers. On the occasion of International Women's Day (March 8), the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal (pmpml) will offer free travel on 13 designated routes across the city.  

This initiative will allow women to travel free of charge for the entire day, ensuring **safe and hassle-free commuting.  

Key Highlights of the Initiative:  

  • Free travel for women passengers on all Tejaswini buses throughout Women's Day.  
  • Buses will operate from major depots, including Swargate, N.T. Wadi, Kothrud, Katraj, Hadapsar, Pune Station, Nigdi, Pimpri, and Bhosari.  
  • A total of 42 trips will run throughout the day to ensure smooth and uninterrupted service.  
  • Only women passengers will be allowed on these buses.  
  • Women conductors will be appointed, and depot chiefs will be present at bus stops to oversee operations.  
  • Women passengers will be welcomed with roses at bus stops as a gesture of appreciation.

  • Swargate to Hadapsar– 5 buses  
  • Kothrud Depot to Pune Station– 2 buses  
  • Swargate to Dhayreshwar Temple– 2 buses  
  • NDA Gate to Municipal Corporation – 2 buses  
  • Katraj to Maharashtra Housing Board – 7 buses  
  • Katraj to Kothrud Depot – 6 buses  
  • Hadapsar to Warje Malwadi – 2 buses  
  • Bhekarainagar to Municipal Corporation  – 2 buses  
  • Market Yard to Pimple Gurav – 2 buses  
  • Pune Station to Kondhwa Khurd – 2 buses  
  • Nigdi to Mega Police Hinjewadi – 4 buses  
  • Bhosari to Nigdi – 4 buses  
  • Chikhli to Dange Chowk– 2 buses  

This initiative is a significant step towards empowering women by providing them with a safe, comfortable, and cost-free mode of transportation on this special day.
