The country is still in the festive spirit of Holi, with numerous videos going viral on social media showing people celebrating with enthusiasm, colours, and joy. Among these, SpiceJet has shared a video of Holi celebrations from inside a flight, but it has received mixed reactions from netizens.

The video, reportedly from a SpiceJet flight, shows cabin crew members dressed in white, dancing inside the aircraft to the song Balam Pichkari. While some passengers can be seen enjoying the moment, others appear visibly uncomfortable with the in-flight celebration.

SpiceJet shared the video on X (formerly known as Twitter) and has garnered over 5,000 views so far. However, social media users have expressed divided opinions. Many have criticised the act as 'unprofessional' and 'irritating,' while others appreciated it as a festive gesture.

One user commented that airlines should maintain certain standards, while another wrote, "SpiceJet should understand that the cabin crew must work within the scope of their job and should not be forced to participate in such activities." Another user shared their personal experience, saying, "Years ago, I traveled with this airline and decided that day never to fly with them again. I am still happy with my decision!"

Marketing Gimmick or Overenthusiasm?

While some see this as an effort to enhance the festive mood, others believe it could harm the airline’s professional image. As of now, SpiceJet has not issued an official statement regarding the video, but it continues to generate buzz on social media.

Shiv Sena UBT spokes person and MP Priyanka Chaturvedi slammed airline for the Holi video and terming it "Ridiculous." She argued that airlies should foucs on public safety and on time arrival not on entertainment. "How is this okay? Ridiculous levels to gain popularity.. airlines need to work on safety and on time arrival/departure not on live entertainment."
