In today's competitive job market, securing a new position can be challenging. Responses from companies can take weeks or even months, but one young man recently experienced an unusual situation he received a reply just 60 seconds after applying. He shared his story on social media, detailing the incident and its outcome.

Email arrived in 60 seconds

In a Reddit post, the young man recounted applying for a Customer Success Manager role. Remarkably, within a minute of submitting his application, he received an email stating, "Your application is being rejected." This quick response surprised him, especially since he had verified that his qualifications, experience, and work authorization in the U.S. were all in order.

What was the reason for the job rejection?

He explained that the rejection was due to the position being filled before he applied. He questioned why the job posting remained active if the role was no longer available.

Following his post, many commenters suggested that the rapid rejection might be due to an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), which many companies use to automatically scan applications. Critics argue that relying on technology to determine candidate qualifications can be unfair.
