Women’s safety has been a long-standing concern in India. Although women today have access to education, the right to vote, and opportunities to work in any field, and are contributing equally alongside men, the issue of their safety remains unresolved. A recently surfaced video once again brings this troubling reality into focus.

The video shows an elderly woman dancing to DJ music when a man suddenly approaches from behind and kicks her, causing her to fall. Disturbingly, people standing nearby are seen laughing and encouraging the act instead of stopping it. The video was shared from the X account @PRMundru, and as per the caption, the incident occurred in Rajasthan’s Barmer district. After kicking the woman, the man is seen dancing mockingly to provoke her, while the elderly woman reacts angrily and later walks away, as no one steps forward to help her.

The video has been viewed more than 56,000 times and has sparked outrage online, with many users questioning whether Rajasthan is safe for women. Several netizens have tagged the Rajasthan Police and demanded strict action against those involved in the incident.
