A video of a professional surfer saving a woman from drowning while she was swept into the waves of the Pacific Ocean in Hawaii has gone viral on social media. The video of the whole incident was captured and posted by Mikey Wright it on Instagram.
The video shows a woman struggling for her life as the waves swept her off when Mikey noticed and rushed to save her.
"We had just seen this wave come up and sweep this lady off the rocks and started to drag her out to sea. It all happened really fast and we kind of had to jump right into action," Mikey told CNN, adding that he caught hold of the woman and told him to hold on to him.
"I just kept telling her that and kept telling her to just hold on and don't let go," Mikey added.
As Mikey approached the shore, his sister Tyler along with a group of tourists pulled both of them onto the beach.
