In order to challenge  Google-owned YouTube, Elon Musk will start his own streaming platform. He confirmed on X platform that he  is launching a streaming service for watching long videos on smart TV screens. The company is set to release a TV app for Amazon and Samsung smart TVs, with Musk stating it will be available "soon".

Musk expressed the aim to provide viewers the comfort of watching long videos on their large TV screens. He also mentioned the option to use Apple AirPlay for streaming videos from phones to TVs.

Followers noted X's move as a strategic step towards diversifying its platform and competing in the digital content landscape. The expansion into video streaming is anticipated to impact online media consumption. Musk envisions X platform as an "everything app", exploring video games, podcasts, and long-form writing. In a bid to challenge traditional media, X recently introduced 'Articles' for sharing long-form written content. Premium users can now post articles with stylized text, embedded media, and various formatting options like headings, lists, and text styles.
