Luxury watchmaker Jacob & Co has created  a USD 1.5 million approx (12 Crore) custom 'Vantara' inspired watch for Anant Ambani. At the heart of the watch’s dial is a meticulously hand-painted figurine of Anant Ambani, symbolising stewardship, compassion, and responsibility toward nature. The central artwork is complemented by finely detailed depictions of a lion and a Bengal tiger, reflecting the diverse wildlife that Vantara is committed to protecting and rehabilitating.

Encircling the dial is a striking green camouflage gemstone motif, evoking the natural habitats safeguarded by the initiative. The frame is set with an exquisite combination of demantoid garnets, tsavorites, green sapphires, and white diamonds, lending depth and brilliance to the design. In total, the timepiece features 397 precious stones weighing 21.98 carats, underscoring Jacob & Co.’s signature blend of high jewellery craftsmanship and narrative-led watchmaking. With Vantara, the brand seamlessly merges horology, artistry, and environmental consciousness, creating a watch that tells a powerful story beyond time.

Vantara, meaning 'Star of the Forest', is an initiative founded by Reliance Industries and Anant Ambani. The massive wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre is located in Jamnagar, India, and aims to rescue, treat, and conserve distressed animals. The centre offers conservation-breeding programs for endangered species, serving as a 'Noah's Ark'. Spread over 3,000 acres within the Reliance Jamnagar complex, the centre houses over 150,000 animals from more than 2000 different species.

The facility is one of the most well-equipped centres, with specialised elephant hospitals, MRI/CT scanners, hydrotherapy pools, and extensive care for big cats, reptiles, and more. Vantara was inaugurated in March 2025 by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It has since become one of the biggest tourist attractions for people from across the world. Not only that, but the facility also offers a safe haven, promoting ecological sustainability and wildlife welfare. Over the years, we have seen Anant Ambani sport some of the most beautiful timepieces from Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Richard Mille, and Rolex. According to reports, Anant's collection is worth over Rs. 200 crores, with the Grand Master Chime by Patek Philippe among the most expensive pieces.
