Tecno Spark 4 makes it global debut in India

Hong Kong-based Transsion Holdings' brand TECNO Mobile has launched its new budget smartphone 'Spark 4' in India.

The devices have been priced at Rs 7,999 for the 3GB + 32GB model and Rs 8,999 for the 4GB + 64GB model.

The 3GB RAM variant is available in Vacation Blue and Royal Purple colour options, while the 4GB RAM variant is available in Bay Blue and Majestic Purple colour options. The smartphone is already on sale across more than 35,000 offline retail stores across India.

"With SPARK series in our portfolio, we are focusing on capturing the Rs 5,000 to 10,000 smartphone category of India where the consumer is more willing to experiment with the product. We are optimistic that the new range will be well-received by the audience and will add spark to their festivities," Arijeet Talapatra, CEO TRANSSION India, said in a statement.

The device features a 6.5-inch HD+ Dot Notch display with 90 per cent screen to body percentage and screen resolution 720x1600, along with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

The smartphone has a triple rear camera with a 13MP AI primary sensor with LED flash a 2MP secondary camera and a third low-light camera sensor. The device features an 8MP selfie camera with flash for selfie and video calling. The smartphone runs on Android 9.0 Pie and packs a 4000mAh battery.

Earlier this month, the brand launched two new smartphones in the Spark series TECNO Spark Go at Rs 5,499 and TECNO Spark 4 Air at Rs 6,999.

With its aggressive market strategy, Tecno is gearing up to launch another smartphone under its "CAMON" series with "Dot-in display" by next month.
