There are now heaps of messaging services around, but WhatsApp has stacks of features and is extremely widely used - the Facebook-owned app says it has over two billion users worldwide, which is pretty staggering. From simple smileys to videos, from GIFs to audio files, and from picture and doodle to the stickers, WhatsApp has altogether added a new dimension towards technology. However, Whatsapp comes with certain disadvantages as well.  For instance, , if you happen to be a part of a couple of groups where people actively engage with one another, your storage space would reduce dramatically.

Here's the simple way you can track which one of your WhatsApp chats takes up most of your storage space on your iPhone:

Open WhatsApp and tap on the Settings options on the bottom of the app.Next, tap on Data and Storage Usage options. Now tap on the Storage Usage option.

Even Android users can also avail similar facility by following these simple steps

Open the app and tap on the three dots on the top right corner.Tap on Settings option and tap on Data and Storage Usage option.Next tap on Storage Usage option and you are done.

It is worth noting that the chat that consumes the maximum memory space also consumes maximum data on your phone as it would be the one downloading (or may be uploading) the maximum number of multimedia files.
