We often receive WhatsApp messages like Hi or Hello at random time, These numbers usually have a cute girl’s name displayed. The message says that you'll earn Rs 150 for completing a simple task such as liking a video or writing a review. Once you complete the task, they actually send the Rs. 150 to your account. But that’s just the beginning of a bigger trap. If you’ve ever logged in with your mobile number on a website or app, and that platform’s data gets hacked, your information might end up on the dark web. This includes your mobile number, name, email ID, date of birth, address, and even passwords. Scammers use this leaked data to contact you and lure you with attractive offers. At first, they earn your trust by sending Rs 150. But later, they trap you in a scam, and your account could get completely wiped out. They tell you that you can earn Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 2,000 a day just by watching videos or writing fake reviews for companies. Tempted by the easy money, many people fall into the trap and end up losing their hard-earned savings. That’s why it's important not to reply to such messages. Don’t fall for offers that ask you to like, review, or watch something in return for money. Block such numbers immediately to keep your account safe. Also, never download any images or files they send these can contain malware. Once malware is installed, they can access your mobile and steal sensitive information.
